5 Stars Amazing Cassette Adapter
I received this cassette adapter just yesterday.

It works great with my Sansa View. I heard no fuzziness whatsoever unless I turned the volume all the way down to the minimum. The clarity and quality of the sound was radio quality or better.

The only problem I had with it was not the cassette adapters fault. I have a car equipped with an automatic volume adjuster, so that as I gain speed (and thus increased wind/road noise), the volume of my stereo increases to compensate.

When I had that set to its maximum compensation level (perfect for radio listening), the sound jumped by 2-3-4 levels instead of its normal smooth gradation, nearly blasting me out of the car. This was easily solved, of course, by putting the volume adjuster on its next to lowest setting.

This almost spooked me into an accident, so I thought I should throw that out there to make sure others knew.

But again, this is a great cassette adapter with perfect clarity and quality of sound. Well, well, well worth the price.

1 Star you get what you pay for
Only plays thru passenger side speakers and the distortion is awful. I threw it away.

2 Stars Works, Barely.
Well, this does what it promises. It played your audio over the tape deck in your car. the problem is that you can’t get the volume above a whisper without the bass imploding upon itself. Spend the extra dollar and get the next step up. This tape simply can’t handle low frequencies.

4 Stars Works as advertised
Great adapter. Works far, far better than some similarly-priced ones I ordered elsewhere. Does not add hiss to the signal. Unfortunately, it does occasianlly rattle inside the casette deck and has to be reinserted. For the price, though, I’m willing to live with that.

5 Stars Works very well and is cheaper than an FM transmitter
For those of us with older cars that don’t come equiped with an iPod dock, this is the next best thing. I read reviews of iPod FM adapters that broadcast the music on the iPod to an FM station on your car radio. Every review I read for these products - which cost $70-$90 complained of poor reliability and the difficulty of finding a spot on the FM wavelength to receive the signal as on drove around the country.

This gadget has a plug that goes into the earphone jack, and a casette tape that goes in your tape deck. The iPod’s music goes through your car’s stereo system which is awesome if you have a good system in your car.

This is inexpensive, simple to use, and pretty reliable.

When using this for the first time, I had a moment of panic, because “this side up” on the tape meant putting the end with the line to the earphone jack in the tape deck; this of course did not fit. I then noticed a groove in the top of the casette. I was able to get the line into the groove and run across the top of the casette so it fit in the tape deck and came out to attach to the earphone jack. This wasn’t explained in the instructions for the adapter and might frustrate someone unfamiliar with the adaptors. So now you know!
